CULTURAL STUDIES

Cultural Studies is an opportunity for students to have an international exposure and explore questions about cultures on a personal level.  In the early building stages, there will be fewer countries available but as the program builds and we cultivate additional school partnerships.

Students will be assigned a student partner in a school abroad to work on a series of projects that will earn them credit.  Projects are designed to allow for cultural interaction. Students will be paired with students from a different country throughout the Academy.

There is a possibility to integrate travel exchange between students and our partner schools as the program builds.

  • Freshman are partnered with a school in Hiroshima, Japan who visit us in each March. AGS students host the AGS students in home stays.
  • Academy Students 10-12, when available, have been paired with various countries over the years including Turkey, Brazil and Germany.
